Known as Flak-Abteilung 505 (Fähre) between 2.42 and 4.43, serving mainly together with Luftwaffen-Fähren-Flotilla 1.
6./gem.505 was formed in mid-43 from 4./gem.505 (RAD), which was reformed from 3./137.
Heavy losses at Sevastopol, withdrawn to Germany and rebuilt.
In 9.44 redesignated III./Flak-Regiment 27(?).
