• 1./Ln.Rgt.12 in Bernau from Luftkreis-Nachrichtenkompanie 2 (formed 1.4.34)
• 5.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.12 in Berlin-Gatow

During 1936-1937 the following units were formed:

• Stab I./Ln.Rgt.12 in Bernau (1.11.36)
• Stab II./Ln.Rgt.12 in Berlin-Gatow (1.4.37)
• 2./Ln.Rgt.12 in Bernau (1.10.36)
• 3./Ln.Rgt.12 in Bernau (1.10.37)
• 6.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.12 in Berlin-Gatow (1.10.36)
• 7.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.12 in Berlin-Gatow (1.4.37)
• 8.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.12 in Berlin-Gatow (1.10.37)

The planned formation of Stab/Ln.Rgt.12, and 4./Ln.Rgt.12 never took place.

On 1.7.38 disbanded:

Stab I./Ln.Rgt.12 became Stab I./Ln.Rgt.1
1./Ln.Rgt.12 became 1./Ln.Rgt.1
2./Ln.Rgt.12 became 2./Ln.Rgt.1
3./Ln.Rgt.12 became 3./Ln.Rgt.1
Stab II./Ln.Rgt.12 became Stab I./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 3
5.-8./Ln.Rgt.12 was used to form 1., 4., 6./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 3

• 4.2.38 - 1.7.38 under Luftwaffengruppenkommando 1
