Formed 1.6.40 in Cambrai for Operation Seelöwe. Remained in France until 9.42 (according to one source the brigade was in Dessau and Stuttgart 1941). On 29.9.42 moved to München, and in Summer 1943 became 4. Flak-Brigade.

Stab/Flak-Regiment z.b.V. (Flakgruppe Innsbruck) was activated in (?)9.43.
