Formed 4.41 in Luftgau VI with 1. - 5. Batterien (1. - 3. schwere, 4. - 5. leichte). Until 7.42 known as Res.Flak-Abt. 462.

Reorganised as a schwere Abteilung in mid-42:

4./Res.462 became 2./750, and was reformed
5./Res.462 became 3./750

5. and 6./s.462 was formed in mid-43 (5. from 1./213, 6. from 3./213).
